Our IDEA

Mani'omio is a brand new restaurant born almost two years ago in the centre of Pisa between Borgo Stretto and piazza delle Vettovaglie. It is inspired to metropolitan and urban clubs of London. Comfortable sofas, suffused lights, wood and stone: a good environment where classic style melts with the modern one. The music, with soul, jazz and chill out influences, is the special soundtrack of your dinners or aperitivi at Mani'omio.

Every evening, light softens and music turns up, so that you can decide to taste our italian aperitivo or try our dishes at the restaurant. Our club is divided into two parts: the bigger lounge in the front is the drinking area while behind, you can find a discreet and quiet room where you can have a dinner. In summer you can dine outside, in piazza S.Omobono.

L'aperitivo

We reserve the first part of the evening to the Aperitivo. You can match one of our cocktail, a wine glass or a beer to a big buffet, always different depending on our chefs mood. This is an important moment of the day: after a long week at the office, what better way to get back into the swing of things than via our aperitivo in the sunset of Pisa?

The restaurant

We have revamped our italian food with simplicity to bring you a selection of great dishes. Best of all, you can enjoy them all anywhere in the venue, wheter you're sitting at the bar, lounging in the sofa or in the restaurant section. Big wooden breadboards to share with friends, fresh pasta, beef fillet and Pizza. With our food we offer a strong wine list encompassing a well-researched array of wines from Tuscany and Italy.

After dinner

Mani'omio has quickly established itself as one of Pisa's favourite bar-restaurant. Every day is a different day. Live music, Dj Set, wine tasting or only the kindness of ever.

Our food

Our menu

The food that we propose is simple; tuscan, as our tradition teaches but also revamped with some modern dishes, result of authentic flavour with fresh ingredients. We use to buy fruits and vegetables in the market in front of us in the morning. Menu often changes but our strong dishes remain all over the year: you will always find the fillet with peppercorns or the fiocchetti with saffron cream. gli ingredienti che utilizziamo sono quelli di stagione che acquistiamo ogni giorno alle bancarelle del mercato che la mattina si svolge proprio nella nostra piazza. Bread and cake offered during the dinner time is made by our own. Eccentric dishes, big wine glasses, modern table clothes: everything is selected for the success of you dinner.

Siamo clienti fissi del Mani'omio io, mia moglie e i nostri amici. Porto sempre a cena con me persone diverse che conosco perchè voglio che anche loro apprezzino la vostra cucina: si mangia bene, si beve bene e la musica accompagna i nostri sabato. In più, ti confesso, che secondo me dovreste aprire una panetteria perchè il pane che fate è incredibile!!

Maybe Mani'omio doesn't look like a restaurant...

Many of our customers told us that our venue doesn't look like a restaurant because the lights are very soft, the furniture is very modern and all that you can see entering the bar is the big counter. In fact the restaurant section is round the corner, in the back room.

Year zero

The origins

Mani'omio is born in the 29th day of May 2010. The team, five young boys and girls, is headed by a young lady: and this is already strange. Everyone of them, after the end of University, unemployed, took part of the project: create a bar-restaurant in the centre of Pisa where to experiment a brand new cuisine and mix good well-selected cocktails. And the dream came true. Mani'omio has quickly established itself as one of Pisa's favourite bar-restaurant.
We are happy of what we have built in spite of the sacrifices made. We like our job and you can call us lucky.

The name and logo

  • The name of our venue "Mani'omio" means madhouse. Madhouse said in a tuscan way because in Pisa like Firenze, we don't pronounce the "c" letter. In italian the right word would be Manicomio.

    For us Mani'omio means meltin pot of sounds, of people, noises and melody togheter. When people chat and talk and relax.

From April to September we also have tables outside. So if you want to have a dinner in piazza, you can!

EVENTI PRIVATI

Si organizzano feste private: viene riservata una zona del locale e vengono servite ai tavoli e ai divani le portate. E' possibile scegliere diverse combinazioni sia per i menù che per il bere.

MENU APERICENA

In certi casi diamo la possibilità di riservare in maniera esclusiva la saletta più piccola o l'intero locale all'ora di pranzo. Per riservare un tavolo all'ora dell'aperitivo si richiedono 2 euro di prenotazione a persona.

Si festeggiano feste di compleanno, cene di lavoro, feste di laurea ma anche addio al celibato e nubilato.
